Improvement method for shaft seal of reducer

The reducer is an indispensable machine equipment in our industrial life, which provides great convenience for our work. However, in order to reduce its workload and simplify the installation process, we have specially designed a detachable end cover and attempted to use an open oil seal, such as machining grooves on the outer side of the detachable end cover. In addition, new sealing materials can also be used to improve the shaft seal for leakage at the static sealing point of the machine. 1. Improvement of shaft seal for reducer with half shaft output.
The output shaft of the equipment with full axis transmission does not have a coupling, so the workload is too heavy and unrealistic. During equipment overhaul, applying D05 silicone rubber sealant on the joint surface and end cover can replace early products. When installing the oil seal, the spring can be removed first and the oil seal can be sawed off into an open shape. The oil seal can be fitted onto the shaft from the opening and then connected with adhesive. With the opening facing upwards, the spring can be inserted into the end cover, which generally does not cause leakage; If there is oil leakage at the static sealing point during the operation of the reducer, surface engineering technology's oil surface emergency repair agent can be used to plug and eliminate the oil leakage.
2. Improvement of the shaft seal for the reducer with a full shaft output.
The output shafts of most equipment such as screw unloaders, belt conveyors, and impeller coal feeders are semi shafts, making them easier to modify. Disassemble the machine and remove the coupling, then take out the equipment shaft seal end cover according to the matching skeleton oil seal size. Afterwards, machine a groove on the outer side of the original end cover and install the skeleton oil seal. Note that the side with the spring should face inward.
If the distance between the end cover and the inner end face of the coupling is more than 35mm during the reinstallation of the reducer, a spare oil seal can be installed on the shaft outside the end cover. Once the oil seal fails, the damaged oil seal can be removed and the spare oil seal can be pushed into the end cover, thus saving some time-consuming and laborious processes such as disassembling the body and coupling.
