When planetary electric rollers are used as belt rollers in belt conveyors, there may be situations where the roller belt deviates and slips. Some users specifically request that the planetary electric drum wall be slotted to avoid this situation. In fact, this treatment method cannot fundamentally solve this problem, and may even cause more serious wear and tear to the belt.
There are two types of planetary electric drum bodies: crown and straight. The coronal cylinder, also known as the drum shaped cylinder, can effectively prevent belt deviation. At the same time, the surface of the planetary electric drum has undergone special processing, with bi-directional threads to increase surface friction and prevent belt deviation. Users only need to make the correct selection of the planetary electric drum model and the installation of the planetary electric drum in the later stage to greatly reduce the occurrence of slipping.
When selecting a planetary electric drum model in the early stage, the following situations have a significant impact on whether the belt deviates. Firstly, users must provide a more accurate range of the weight of the goods that the conveyor belt needs to carry. When the weight of the load is greater than the range that the planetary electric drum can carry, it is easy to cause the belt to slip. Secondly, when the planetary electric drum works in an environment with oil or water for a long time, it is also easy to cause belt slippage. Note that the thickness of the belt should match the diameter of the belt drum. Generally, the smaller the diameter of the belt drum and the thicker the belt, the more likely it is to deviate.

Whether the planetary electric drum is installed correctly also has a significant impact on the deviation and slippage of the belt. Firstly, it is necessary to adjust the tension between the planetary electric drum and the conveyor belt to ensure sufficient transmission of traction and prevent the belt from slipping during load operation. Secondly, the width of the conveyor belt must cover at least 2/3 of the width of the planetary electric drum body to ensure a sufficiently large contact area. Ensure that the planetary electric drum and the driven drum are in a parallel position.
