Thermal protection function of electric drum
Generally speaking, electric rollers have thermal protection devices. The presence of thermal protection devices can protect the normal operation of the drum motor from being affected. During use, attention should be paid to the reasonable use of thermal protection devices. When the temperature of the motor cannot be maintained in a good state, the thermal protection function needs to be activated. Below is a detailed introduction.
The thermal protection device of the electric drum motor is to place a thermistor in the three-phase winding of the motor, with one thermistor placed in each phase winding and three thermistors connected in series. In the three-phase winding of the motor, as long as the heat generation of one phase winding exceeds the specified temperature, the bimetallic will start and cut off the power supply, and the motor will immediately stop working. In this way, the thermal protection device plays a role in overload protection. After a period of time, when the winding temperature of the motor gradually drops to the normal operating temperature, the bimetallic will also cool down and return to its initial state. The circuit will be connected and the motor can work normally again.
Due to the different insulation levels of the motors, the temperature at which the bimetallic in the electric drum thermal protection device begins to operate also varies. When in use, you can choose according to your needs. As mentioned earlier, the working principle of thermal protection devices is the thermal effect of current. We refer to the current that the thermal protection device does not operate for a long time as the set current. When the overload current exceeds the set current, the thermal protection device starts to operate. The action speed is related to the magnitude of the overload current. When the overload current is 1.2 times the set current, the action time of the bimetallic is about 20 minutes. When the overload current is 1.5 times the set current, the action time of the bimetallic is only 2 minutes.
Of course, in addition to its heat-resistant function, electric rollers also have many other special features. When choosing the motor for the drum, you can choose equipment installed outside the motor drum, so that the heat generated by the motor can be dissipated in a timely manner without affecting the use of the drum, thereby improving the operating efficiency of the equipment.
